Heineken has appointed Bram Westenbrink as Senior Director Global Heineken Brand as of 1 June. According to Chief Commercial Officer, Jan-Derck van Karnebeek, his mission is to improve further growth and profitability of the brand worldwide.
Since March 2017, Westenbrink has served as Vice President Marketing for the beer brand in Brazil. During his time there, he developed a tailor-made portfolio strategy for 16 brands and built a new marketing team. With his team, he made Brazil Heineken the fastest growing and largest operating company of the brand. Westenbrink has also insourced a digital media hub, which still ensures media efficiency and effectiveness. Westenbrink started his career at the brewer in 2003 as a trainee for Heineken Netherlands.
After various sales and marketing roles in the Netherlands, he was appointed as marketing director Heineken Hungary in 2010 and then returned to the Netherlands in 2013 as director of marketing. Under his leadership, he ensured strong growth for the main lager brands Heineken, Amstel and Brand and accelerated the innovation agenda considerably.
