Wirecard CEO Markus Braun’s future is said to be uncertain. It is currently not clear whether his contract, which expires at the end of the year, will be extended. The “manager magazin” reports this and invokes its own research.
Accordingly, supervisory board chief Thomas Eichelmann only wants to extend the contract with Braun if two conditions are met beforehand. E&Y’s auditors must issue an unrestricted certificate for the 2019 annual report. However, Wirecard already reported last night that it was assumed that there would be an unrestricted attestation.
In addition, there should be no trouble with the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). The KPMG report from April is currently being examined there. No details are known yet.
It is said that Eichelmann is already working on finding a possible successor for Braun. The magazine relies on informed circles. There is no official confirmation of all of this.
Wirecard shares today lost 0.3 percent to EUR 86.90.
