Surprisingly sets Group Ten Metals (TSX-V PGE / FSE 5D32) shortly before the long weekend in Germany again drilling and sampling results from its huge, polymetallic Stillwater West in Montana. As can be seen, the property, which borders directly on the platinum and palladium mines with the highest grades worldwide – the Stillwater Complex of Sibanye – contains not only the platinum and palladium, but also nickel, copper and cobalt, high-grade gold!
The highlights of today’s announcement:
Group Ten has demonstrated very high grade gold, palladium and platinum mineralization in both drilling and soil and rock samples on the Pine target.
For example, the drilling at Pine produced 16.94 g / t 3E (3 Elements), which consist of 16.19 g / t gold, 0.24 g / t platinum and 0.50 g / t palladium Length of 7.98 meters. Added to this were 31.02 g / t 3E consisting of 28.77 g / t gold, 1.06 g / t platinum and 1.27 g / t palladium over 2.6 meters.
Group Ten also detected up to 16.18 g / t 3E (13.80 g / t gold, 1.10 g / t palladium and 1.28 g / t platinum) in rock samples taken in 2019. A total of 13 samples yielded between 2 and 30 g / t platinum equivalent.
High grade gold, palladium and platinum grades of up to 19.06 g / t 3E (14.30 g / t gold, 3.10 g / t palladium and 1.66 g / t platinum) detected in samples taken by the US Geological Survey (“USGS”) from historical cores in the HGR area that had not previously been tested for precious metals.
As Group Ten CEO Michael Rowley also explained, a number of indicator elements that point to gold have been identified that also appear in the high-grade samples. These can be found on both Pine and HGR and would constitute a “guideline” to search for gold-bearing mineralization on the entire property, which extends over 25 kilometers. It has now been recognized that these high-grade gold zones are much more widespread than previously thought and would also occur in some of the same mineralization horizons that also include palladium, platinum, gold, rhodium, nickel, copper and cobalt in the style of the large-volume, South African platreef deposits exhibit.
Before the exploration season 2020 begins, Group Ten plans to report further exploration program results focused on advancing mineralized zones defined by drilling in five priority, multi-kilometer target areas. In addition, the company will present further results of the ongoing modeling work as well as the results of samples on rhodium.
