The head of the perfumery chain Douglas has been one of Germany’s top managers for a remarkable campaign for Opel. Now she temporarily hands over the management to two colleagues.
The head of the perfumery chain Douglas, Tina Müller, is temporarily unavailable due to an illness. The 51-year-old had to go to rehabilitation after an emergency operation, the company said.
The time of their return is currently unclear. Therefore, the other two managing directors Matthias Born (finance) and Vanessa Stützle (digital) temporarily take over the tasks of Müller.
The supervisory board appointed Stützle as the third managing director on Monday. She has been responsible for Douglas’ online business since early 2018. Since then, it has been successfully expanded into a marketplace platform.
Müller came to Douglas from Opel
Müller has been head of Douglas since November 2017. Previously, the manager was employed at Opel as the head of marketing.
There she was responsible, among other things, for the advertising campaign under the slogan “parking in the head”, which experts already call legendary. Before she came back to Opel, Müller worked for decades for cosmetic and hygiene article manufacturers like L’Oreal, Wella and Henkel.
Douglas did not comment on the exact background of the operation or on a possible point in time for Müller’s return from rehab. The supervisory board wished Müller a speedy recovery and thanked her for building up a “strong management team”.
