From 1 July, the national government is again allowed to organize conferences for 100 people, taking into account the distance of one and a half meters and various hygiene measures. With ‘LIVE AGAIN!’, Which takes place in the Fokker Terminal in The Hague, the consortium mainly wants to show what is possible and to support colleagues from the entire event industry. “LIVE AGAIN!” is a so-called hybrid conference, a combination of online and live, in which the number of guests present can be flexibly scaled up and down according to the current government guidelines.
The consortium that organizes this live conference together selflessly consists of event location the Fokker Terminal, audiovisual & online specialist Aveq, conference and event caterer Mood4Food and organization and PR agency Smith Communicatie. The initiative is supported by, among others, Eventbranche.nl. For more info see here.
July 1, 2020: ‘LIVE AGAIN!’
July 1, 2020 is the moment where everyone in the event industry lives: then corporate events for 100 people are allowed again. For this reason, a consortium of event professionals is organizing the conference ‘LIVE AGAIN!’ The aim is to let participants experience how, with due observance of all government rules, a good, substantive conference can be organized, complete with a plenary program, break-out sessions and (at appropriate distance) networks.
“We want to use this initiative to send a positive signal and show everyone how important it is, for both the sector and the economy, to come back together live at event locations,” said Tom Verhaar on behalf of the consortium. ‘We do that in The Hague, where decisions are made, on the first day that it is possible, on 1 July 2020, for the entire industry, for the entire country! After all, it is very important for BV Nederland that we can meet each other well and safely live to do business. ‘
The morning program is partly by invitation and intended for employees of governments and corporates who are ultimately responsible for the organization of congresses and business events. The afternoon program is specially organized for the events industry.
“LIVE AGAIN!” is a free and hybrid conference, which is also broadcast online and where the speakers join the special webcast studio after their live contribution. If more people are allowed to be present on 1 July, the number of physically present conference visitors can be scaled up. Should the guidelines be reduced to a maximum of 50 people, for example, the other participants can follow the conference online. The first live conference in the Netherlands on July 1, 2020 will therefore continue anyway. Interested parties can already register via www.liveagain.nl and will soon hear whether they are among the live visitors present.

“LIVE AGAIN!” is an initiative of a number of companies from The Hague that have worked together for years and have a lot of experience in the event sector. Despite the fact that all these companies are now also experiencing a drop in turnover, they want to restart the event sector with this congress on 1 July 2020 and encourage governments and companies to plan their business events this autumn. The initiators are the Fokker Terminal, audiovisual & online specialist Aveq, conference & event caterer Mood4Food and organization and PR agency Smith Communicatie. The initiative is supported by, among others, Eventbranche.nl.
