COVID-19 in the DRC: ARCA and insurance companies provide 100,000 USD

The Insurance Regulation and Control Authority in the DRC (ARCA) and the insurance companies in the Democratic Republic of Congo, grouped into the Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies (ASAR), handed over 100,000 USD, Saturday 04 April 2020 in Kinshasa, coordinating the response team against COVID-19 in the DRC, in the presence of Prime Minister Sylvestre Ilunga Ilunkamba and Doctor Jean-Jacques Muyembe, executive secretary of this response team.

Alain Kaninda Ngalula, Acting Director General of ARCA, and insurance companies operating in the DRC have also brought a brand new Isuzu Dmax pick up brand new, 10,000 protective masks for medical bodies, 10,000 sterilized gloves, 7,200 bottles 120 ml disinfectant gel, 300 soap boxes and 1,200 350 ml disinfectant bottles. “All of this will be complemented by protective clothing and other equipment as soon as certain logistical constraints are resolved,” ARCA DG a.i reassured the response team.
